Green Paper on Intelligent Manufacturing in China (2017) Officially Released Source: Department of Equipment Manufacturing Industry, MIIT
On December 8, the Green Paper on Intelligent Manufacturing in China (2017) (hereinafter referred to as the Green Paper), compiled by the China Enterprise Confederation and the Consortium of Intelligent Manufacturing Societies of the China Association for Science and Technology under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Association for Science and Technology, was officially released at the closing ceremony of the 2017 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference.
The Green Paper comprehensively sorts out the progress of intelligent manufacturing in China in recent years. It systematically summarizes achievements and accumulated experience in advancing intelligent manufacturing from four dimensions: overall development, industrial sectors, regional deployment and enterprise practices, analyzes existing problems, and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.
The General Chapter mainly summarizes the overall progress of China’s intelligent manufacturing in top-level design, infrastructure development, international exchanges and cooperation.
The Industrial Chapter elaborates on the development status of intelligent manufacturing across 11 key sectors including new-generation information technology, machine tools and industrial robots, food, and petrochemical industries.
The Regional Chapter reviews major initiatives and development progress of intelligent manufacturing in 18 provinces and municipalities such as Beijing, Anhui and Sichuan.
The Enterprise Chapter concludes fundamental experience gained by Chinese enterprises in implementing intelligent manufacturing. It summarizes and analyzes five new development models supported by typical cases: intelligent manufacturing in discrete manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing in process manufacturing, networked collaborative manufacturing, mass personalized customization, and remote operation and maintenance services.
The Green Paper presents an objective record of the development journey of intelligent manufacturing in China. The vital data, policies and practical experience contained in the publication provide full and detailed materials for readers to gain a comprehensive understanding of China’s intelligent manufacturing development, and serve as references for relevant government authorities to formulate supporting policies for intelligent manufacturing.
