The 13th National Conference on the Healthy Development of Calcium Carbide Industry was grandly held in Jinan, Shandong Province from July 10 to 12, 2019. Hosted by China Calcium Carbide Industry Association, the event was undertaken by Shandong Xinfa Group, Beijing Lapsen Energy and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Juncheng Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.More than 400 attendees participated in the conference, including Sun Weishan, Vice President of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and Vice Chairman of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association; Lu Weidong, Chairman of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association; Yang Chuanwei, Secretary-General of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association; Jiang Shunping and Jiao Yang, Deputy Secretaries-General of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association; Zhang Yu, Honorary Chairman of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association; Zhang Huaitao, Deputy General Manager of Xinfa Group; Zhong Haisheng, General Manager of Beijing Lapsen Energy and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association, domestic calcium carbide manufacturers and supporting relevant enterprises.

The conference was presided over by Yang Chuanwei, Secretary-General of the China Calcium Carbide Industry Association. It aimed to jointly address the new trends and challenges confronting the calcium carbide sector, advance structural adjustment and transformation of development modes within the industry, and foster green, high-quality development.

Zhang Huaitao, Deputy General Manager of Xinfa Group, delivered an opening speech. He extended a warm welcome to all attending leaders, experts and industry peers from across the country, and sincerely invited the delegates to visit Xinfa Group for exchange and guidance. Xinfa Group is ready to join hands with all participants to boost lean development of the calcium carbide industry, accelerate the adoption of new technologies and advanced equipment, and contribute to the sound and high-quality growth of the sector.

During the conference, enterprise representatives delivered keynote speeches focusing on hot industry topics including new technologies, new equipment and innovative applications. Zhong Haisheng, General Manager of Beijing Lapsen, gave a keynote speech titled Integrated Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Based on Robots. His presentation centered on the application of cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, robot data accumulation and remote operation & maintenance in calcium carbide production. The audience listened attentively, pushing the conference atmosphere to a new high.

After the conference, Shandong Xinfa Group invited participating leaders and enterprise representatives to visit its production base. The visiting representatives engaged in extensive Q&A exchanges regarding Xinfa Group’s full industrial chain layout as well as the application of advanced technologies and equipment.During the tour, the on-site tapping operation of the calcium carbide furnace tapping robot system developed by Beijing Lapsen, which had been put into mass application within Xinfa Group, drew active inquiries from the delegates. They held in-depth discussions with Lapsen’s technical engineers and Xinfa’s robot operators.With this, the 13th National Conference on the Healthy Development of Calcium Carbide Industry came to a successful conclusion.
